Michael J. Brooks

Michael J. Brooks has dedicated his legal career to helping individuals and families navigate difficult financial situations. A graduate of the University of Florida, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Mr. Brooks went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Nova University in 1984.

He began his career serving the community as an attorney with the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office. He later gained broad legal experience handling matters involving personal injury, contracts, probate, wills, real estate transactions, criminal law, and corporate issues. In 1990, Mr. Brooks chose to focus his practice exclusively on bankruptcy law, where he has remained ever since.

With decades of experience and thousands of cases handled throughout the Southern District of Florida, including Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties, Michael J. Brooks brings both depth of knowledge and practical perspective to his work. His background in multiple areas of law continues to benefit clients whose financial matters intersect with real estate, tax concerns, probate issues, or business interests.

Known for clear communication and personal attention, Mr. Brooks works directly with each client to guide them through the bankruptcy process with preparation and care.
